Around Kirkcudbright are many secondary and minor roads which provide interesting rides of varying lengths.  These suggestions are for a selection of circular cycle routes, starting from Kirkcudbright.  Shorter rides can be made on an "out & back" basis.  Longer rides can be made by combining adjoining routes.                                 None of the roads are totally traffic free and some may be busy at times, particularly the A75 road.                                                   Refer to the appropriate Ordnance Survey maps: Explorer 312, 1:25000. or Landranger 77, 83 and 84, 1:50000.
